As minister of the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting in the centre of Aberdeen, I want to welcome you to our website. I hope you will explore our various web pages and learn about our history going back to the twelfth century as well as some of the very exciting things going on at St Nicholas today. The Kirk of St Nicholas is a united congregation of the Church of Scotland and the United Reformed Church and shares a common heritage in the Reformed tradition. As the 'Mither Kirk' of Aberdeen, St Nicholas is a place where all kinds of people come together in a common journey - a journey of seeking, discovering, knowing and sharing God's love. No matter where you are in your own faith journey, even if one hasn't yet begun, we would be privileged to walk with you along the way.
I would like to invite you not only to visit the various pages of our website, but to come and visit our church, to explore its rich history and heritage, to see how we are changing for the future, and perhaps even join us in our exciting adventure. You will always find a warm welcome as well as opportunities to become active in a diverse, vibrant and gracious congregation. Call, write, email, come by. We would love to see you at St Nicholas.
In Christ's service,
The Rev Stephen Taylor
