The Mither Kirk Project Symbol Explained

From the earliest times, the church has used the pelican as a symbol of Christ’s sacrificial giving. There are eight pelicans in various monuments and treasures around the Kirk of St Nicholas. The Mither Kirk Project has adopted this symbol to reflect the way the church seeks to open up the building for the greater good of the community of Aberdeen.
